	*Wag 'N' Wash* Do you have a dirty dog? Come celebrate spring showers and muddy dogs with us at the first Alexandria Red Cross Dog Wash. Members of the community can bring their favorite canines to Your Dog’s Best Friends in downtown Alexandria on July 25th between 10 am and 4 pm for squeaky-clean fun. All proceeds from the event will benefit the National Capital Region of the American Red Cross, Alexandria Chapter. We need your help to make the Dog Wash a success! Red Cross volunteers are needed to help greet, wash dogs, sell first aid kits and answer questions about the Red Cross and our Pet First Aid courses. 	Canine Cruise Potomac Riverboat Company offers this fun and unique cruise on every Thursday of the months of May through August. It will include a 40-minute tour of Alexandria's seaport. All are invited, with or without a four legged friend. A howling experience for all! The dog rides free, but the human must pay for their ride. Dogs must be on a 6ft FLAT leash. Departing from Alexandria City Marina aboard the Admiral Tilp.
	Barkin’ and Ballin’ July 18 For one exciting night, the Washington Mystics team up with local areas pet businesses to bring together 2 of the passions of the Mystics: Basketball and Dogs. Many of the Mystics players are dog-lovers which is why they teamed up with NOVADog and other dog companies to bring this fun event to the Verizon Center. Win exciting prizes from NOVADog and others. 	Annual K9 Support Dog Wash July 17 & 18 All area Dogtopia Dog Daycare locations will hold a charity dog wash to collect funds for local working k9s and their handlers. Last year they collected $15,000 company-wide, which went to the City of Alexandria, Prince William County and Montgomery County to purchase equipment for the dogs. 	Doggie Days at Ft. Belvoir July 24 An amazing outdoor festival bringing together local businesses, rescue groups and pet owners for an exciting day of interactive activities, demonstrations, exhibitions, and activities for the whole family.
