Titan, a very special golden retriever puppy, has had an incredible journey. Born with a rare deformity in his front legs that left him unable to walk, he was cast aside by his breeder-owners in Puerto Rico and saved by Second Chance Animal Rescue ("SCAR"). Now he's arrived in the DC area and is getting treatment for cutting-edge doggie prosthestics!
Please consider helping Titan continue to heal and use his new "paws" by supporting SCAR financially. To kick-start our Team Titan fundraising campaign, SCAR and Team Titan cordially invite you to a very special "Yappy Hour" at Jackson 20 at the Hotel Monaco in Old Town Alexandria, Virginia on October 25th from 5 to 8 p.m.
All donations and a portion of the proceeds from the sale of special Titan-themed drinks will benefit Titan's fund.

Annual Howl-o-ween Party, October 27th
It's time to let your dogs strut their stuff down the runway showing off their Howl-o-ween costume. Registration is 4:30-5:30 p.m. and the contest starts at 6:00 p.m. It's just a small $10 donation for entries and all proceeds go to the Alexandria Animal Welfare League. There will be prizes for Most Glamorous Get-Up, Best Dressed Couple (pet and owner) and Top Dog (best overall costume). Please enter the courtyard on Royal Street.
